THIS IS YOUR CO-OP.
If you have experience or interest in financial and governance, enjoy working in groups and care about the future development of Gardenland Co-op, consider allowing your name to stand for nomination as a Director (Directors will be elected for a three-year term).
As a member of the board, a director acts in the interest of our members and is responsible for the effective governance of our co-operative. Directors are elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting, which this year is being held April 28th, 2026 at the Buhler Active Living Centre.
Nominees will be given a time slot at the AGM, to address members and present their reasons for serving as a board member. Board members represent the communities of in which Gardenland Co-op operates.
Deadline for nominations is March 31st, 2026.
Nomination Procedures:
Members wishing to be nominated for the position of Director of the Cooperative must deliver nomination applications by March 31st, 2026. Current Directors terms of office expire the day of the Annual General Meeting.
All nomination applications submitted must include the following:
(i) Be signed by at least three members other than the nominee.
(ii) Be accompanied by a brief biography of the nominee.
(iii) Contain the written consent of the nominee.
